WiTi Anti-Theft System
WiTi incorporates an innovative and world first anti-theft device specifically designed for caravans, camper trailers or any trailer fitted with electric brakes. If an attempt is made to steal a caravan or trailer, WiTi will detect movement via a highly sensitive gyroscope. The system immediately applies the brakes to prevent the caravan or trailer from being towed, as well as flash all the external lights and sound a 105db alarm.
The siren will cease after 30 seconds and WiTi will re-enter monitoring, repeating the cycle if movement is detected again.
WiTi is sensitive enough to detect an attempted break-in. Sharp knocks and bangs such as trying to force entry into tool boxes or force open doors are detected and will set off the alarm. A swaying or side to side rocking movement has been programmed out to prevent the alarm from activating in windy conditions. In practice you can walk around inside the van without setting it off but if you stamp your foot on the floor or slam a cupboard door this will set it off.
WiTi is more than a deterrent it is the only anti-theft system that totally immobilises a caravan or trailer.

Correct installation is key! The unit must be installed vertically and facing either the front or rear of the caravan or trailer. The wiring harness must protrude from the bottom of the unit otherwise functionality will be compromised. It is recommended the unit be installed towards the front of the caravan or trailer. This will make the unit more sensitive to attempts to hitch up or knock’s onto the tow hitch. The unit can be screwed onto a panel through the mounting lugs using appropriately sized screws.
The horn must be installed at least 1 metre away from the Trailer Unit and on a different mounting surface to prevent. If the horn is installed too close to the Anti-Theft System, vibration will be detected as movement and the alarm will continue sounding. The horn is weather-proof so it can be installed externally.
The Alarm Status LED outputs must be connected to the supplied 3V LED as per the wiring instructions. The LED will light when the alarm is armed and switch off when the alarm is disarmed. Install the LED in an area that is visible to the user. The caravan or trailer battery must be connected to an acceptable charging circuit - either solar panels, Anderson plug or DCDC charger.
